After the success of the 2023 program, the Next Generation Leadership Program will be back in 2025. Stage 1 will run in Deniliquin from 11 - 14 February 2025. All meals and accommodation will be provided by the program.

Project Aim
To establish a self-replenishing cohort of rice industry leaders who are diverse in knowledge, skills, and experience to support the industry's future. This will be achieved through a series of development programs that focus on various skill levels and a diverse range of topics. Participants will gain skills, networks, and experience to take into the rice industry, community, or their own businesses.
Who is this course for?
This program is designed for new and/or inexperienced people with a passion and interest in the rice industry, supporting industries/communities, or running their own businesses. This program will engage the next generation of leaders with the challenges and opportunities facing agriculture and gain exposure to the industry and associated organisations.
Stage 1 // Deniliquin
The four-day interactive residential program will focus on industry leadership development in Research & Development, policy, advocacy, and sustainability of the Rice Industry.
This course will give participants exposure to expert speakers and key industry leaders to build their networks and leadership skills

Stage 2 // Canberra
Four participants will be selected from Stage one to attend a two day workshop in Canberra to meet with leaders in organisations such as Department of Agriculture and Water Resources, National Farmers’ Federation, National Irrigators’ Council and Australian Parliament.
They will develop networking and advocating skills learnt in stage one.
